To be honest, I'm suprised that there's anything there at all - I didn't imagine tha Lundy would be big enough to supportb a population of any size during the Neolithic. Does anyone one know of some good research on viable population size in relation to area during this period (particularly when you factor in the isolation of being on an island - although I suppose you have the sea as a resource)?

Andrew Chamberlain 's "Demography in Archaeology" might be useful . There was a smaller scale study in realtion to the mesolithic occupation of islands like Colonsay , can't remember the authors though ,one was certainly female possibly Amelia Pannet .
