What did you find Bob? I might get the time to nip over there and have a look at some point. I've a suspicion there's some WWII suff mind you, it could be that.

I can just make out a circle about 40 yards south west of the gun turret,
however it is just out on the grid ref that Hob provided, in fact the grid ref places the barrow to the north east of the gun turret on a heavily eroded part of the rocks (in the sea) so i wouldn't be too hopeful.
