Gah - probably a freak thang.

I tried posting just the first para & it worked. So I hit edit & posted in the next para. It worked. Then another & another.... Eventually, I copied & pasted the rest of it in & posted it. It worked!

Sounds like you were the lucky recipient of some of those wonders of modern technology.

You could blame it on ambient electromagnetic flux. I've no idea what that really means, but it sounds sufficiently vague to cover a multitude of sins.
