You mean you didn't visit the fabulous Roman reconstruction at Castlefield? Can't say I blame you. Someone told me the other day that there used to be a stone circle in Bolton?

That'll be Cheetham Close, somewhere between Bolton and Darwen, and just a few miles from my house. There's not much to see of it though, a 19th century farmer took a sledgehammer to the stones. Nice bloke. I posted up some shots a while ago, very bleak...
