Well, actually I'm not. BUT I did go to a HUGE cross today.

We've spoken of the pictish crosses before and rightly so, but the carving on some of the Irish high crosses is superb.

The one I went to today is one of the best around.

After that I trundled off to three passage tombs & a kist in one cairn: So it was Four Funerals & a Wedding for me today.

The biggest pre-historic hump in Cornwall!

The highlight of my tour of local sites today was a visit to Carne Beacon near Veryan, Cornwall's answer to Silbury Hill.

Weather was foul but took some nice pics.

Interested to see that some kind soul has installed some wooden steps to climb the hill.

Looks like you had a good weekend. My entire time was spent trudging round Manchester, then eating out with the in-laws, not a single site in sight... roll on next weekend.
