So the world at large isn't allowed to see any results from this statistical masterpiece?

I don't think he's asking you to publish the raw data you know. If you're not hiding anything, where's the problem? Or are you just unwilling to reveal that this alleged survey is actually not very well implemented/accurate/worth paying any attention to?

As a slightly bemused onlooker to this thread, I can't see why you won't quote any figures, other than for the kinds of reasons that have been suggested.

It might also be an idea to do yourself and your fellow hobbyists a favour by not acting so much like a troll.

Hi Hob,

For the avoidance of doubt:

I saw Kevmar's survey on UKDN. I get everywhere, me.

No, it seemed very well put together and very comprehensive, enumerating the numbers of various types of artefacts made by a large number of detectorists during a typical three hour session.

Yes, as everyone must now have realised, it suggests the HA Counter is set too low, hence its disappearance from there, its non-reappearance here and Kevmar's proprietorial attitude towards it.

Now here's a laugh: imagine a conservation group publicly cooking the books knowing full well that powerful contrary evidence existed and would be revealed at any moment! I think not.

Incidentally, deep in some den at this very moment I fancy I can hear the words "Hey, chaps, I have an idea. Why don't you make your own brand new survey and post up the results right here?!"

Wot larks!
