Nothing like a politicians response at all. This thread has mentioned at least one more way of recording on UKDFD so I simply say "when recording with PAS" to identify what I am referring to. At our club the FLO asks for those details and thats what she gets so I assume its the same everywhere , however I wouldnt be so presumptuous or speculative to say its the norm.

Good point! I suspect very strongly that it's NOT the norm, to be honest. Especially after searching online for detectorist websites! There's some right dodgy ones out there!
