Holy schmokes!

I'm with wideford on this one, with due apologies to Holy for me appearing like a persistant winger.

True most of the images aren't wide angle but many are around 4:3 and the new cropped square thumbnails can be confusing, you have to click them to see what some of them are.
There's a wide drawing of the White Horse on the Home page at the moment and the poor old chap has lost his head, tail and three legs!

Hey,

If there's enough vocal opposition to the square thumbnails, I'll happily put them back to the original style. There are advantages of them being square (like on the fullsize pages where you have prev/next photo links) but if these are ultimately outweighed by the disadvantages then it'll be switched back.

Thanks
H

I actually thought the cropped white horse looked really interesting because I couldn't quite see what it was. It made me click on it - I wouldn't have bothered if I could see it all.

are thumbnails really supposed to be miniature versions of the 'real' photo? or are they supposed to be little tasters that give you a feel for the photo. I'd say the latter, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's just my artistic temperament heheh.
