A couple of small points though, why are the web searches pointing to google.com and not google.co.uk
There's virtually no difference in the results you get from .com or .co.uk unless you restrict the search to 'pages from the uk', which would cut out international resources e.g. Wikipedia.

and why not add the monument type (eg round barrow etc) to the search term. Would be more useful for sites that are just named after a local village etc.
yeah we could do - of course some site names also contain the site type, depending on how it is actually known. So you could get some duplication of words, though I suspect google wouldn't mind. This might well happen.

Also why not have the links open in a new page, it can take no end of clicking to get back from Magic.
I figure these days users decide for themselves whether or not they want to open a new window or a new tab with a link.

Indeed. Just click the link with your mouse wheel and it will open in a new window.

Saved me days since I learnt that ;-)
