That was a really good year for anecdotes...get into a mate's van, fill the tank [seeya dole money!] and then jumping out as it caught fire on the forecourt...had to hire a car [a fiesta with four inside plus gear] and fill it again, ended up getting there with £3 in my pocket and a sob story for anyone who looked an easy mark :)

I went with lady Rachael McMillian (Harolds grand daughter) who was managing several of the bands.
Unfortunately she died shortly afterwards after being mugged.
