Yeah, Holbeche (now a residential home) used to capture the imagination, and I know of nurses who won't work there because of things they have seen/heard. Maybe you and I'll end up there in our infirmity!

All the Himley Woods have an otherworldly atmosphere, I remember cycling through them at speed one dusk evening, and feeling a keen desperation to 'get out' before it got dark. Other woods locally, like Kinver, New Wood, Tack Hill etc etc don't bother me. But what about the frakiest of all, ...*shudder* Gibbett Wood! Talking of marsh lights, myself and others have seen 'flashes' in their, like earthlights. No joke, I don't know if it has to do with the huge rapeage involved with the sand mining there, but Gibbett Wood is as malevolent as a black steers tuckass on a moonless night after eating a bad chilli.
