The church is a real eye-opener.
It is a very strange item indeed, and oddly it's not signposted or anything. Well worth a visit and more obviously an ex-dolmen than the other Chapel Anta de San Brissos that we went to.
Reckon the circle stones were shaped to be bulbous or were they chosen that way?
I'd have to say most look shaped or at least one or more surfaces were, some were fully rounded and pod shaped, others were bulbous except for one side which was flattened. Cope in the Megalithic European book reckons they were flattened and shaped by stone mauls like the sarsens at Stonehenge.
Judging by the treatment they get from bus tours they make a superb climbing and assualt course. Get there early or very late if your ever intending!
