Replying to slumpystones

Im still not convinced....having spent many an hour trying to balance stones down on the beach..to get them to stand upright on rounded pebbles..and stay there with out being moved by the wind....what next.....Thunderbird Island discovered off Peru!

I have enough stones sitting within 3' of me here to try, but maybe there's more to it than just plonking them on the carpet, so I gave up after 5 minutes. I suspect a solid base comes first but with a freshly re-slipped disc my manoueverability is a wee bit restricted :(
