Spent today trudging through mud and water looking for stones marked on Magic. One is on private land, and I didn't fancy the long detour and walk uphill, [all the springs at the base of the downs are overflowing and make walking bloody hard work] but found a cluster of field-cleared stones not marked or noted anywhere north of Ryarsh. Also found two marked in Eccles, again splash bang in the middle of an old spring, one of which is wrongly located on Magic [or has been moved] plus found another five spread along the roadside in Pratling Street near to Cossington spring. Also think I may have found a moved stone above Addington about 50 yards from where it was [supposing they are one and the same] marked on old maps.

And in the middle of all this I managed a quick visit to Shoulder of Mutton Wood to see the bell barrow!!
