It's a decent photograph - but the stones don't look right somehow. The ground surface of the circle is convex - unusual in a true circle. And the stones against the hillslope should have been higher up, so that view from the hill was available. So when was it made - 1986 ?

Is that in Yorkshire?

Sure beats dumping them in a pile at the corner of the field
