Nice one Fitz.

You've no idea how usefully synchronicitous that info is. That's exactly what I need for finding my my current bugbear. 19thC fieldboundaries. Spot on.

Y'arra star!

Hi Hob

Have you tried looking at the old tithe maps? Your local history centre or records office should have copies of them. They do differ from parish to parish, county to county but the good ones will have all field boundrys on and even gates and trees if you are lucky. There should also be a document with the map that gives you the coresponding names of fields, eg Barrow Field, Longstone meadow..

Happy hunting
