If you like these, let's-get-it-done-in-3-days progs there's another Time Team special on Channel 4 from 5:35 on Sunday, 4 February when, "Tony Robinson and the team head for the isle of Anglesey in north Wales, where they seek evidence of the lost world dominated by the Celtic Druids. The site is a huge enclosure, well placed on top of a hill - if it's the right date and there's evidence of buildings, it could prove to have been home to a powerful local chief."*

Sounds like one not to be missed , looking forward to it.

They only tend to do three days on TV or it would never get enough viewers, they tend to arrive after the top has been stripped off and then leave the clearing up and analysis for someone else.

I have mixed feelings...it seems almost unprofessional, yet they bring a little-known and largely-ignored subject to the masses. If it helps protect our heritage by making Mr J Public more aware then that has to be a good thing.

Lately they do seem to be a little bit like Ground Force tho...

How the heck did they miss that long rectilinear feature going across the enclosure ? This looked to continue for a tiny bit just past the outside of it, appearing like a dark version of the motorway legend on traffic signs. Could have been connected with how there was so little left on site, though my first thought was something the enclosure had been built over.
