Thom's statistical analysis of the alignments he inferred have a tiny peak at -10 declination. So he found a few alignments with this value. In the histogram he suggests the rising and setting points of Antares (at 1800 bce) as the stellar phenomena indicated. There has to be a simple explanation for the alignment of prehistoric ceremonial sites.

Hello SL , of course the figures are azimuths not declinations and most of the sitesdate from around 2500BC . I think the figures are significant but the explanation may have all or nothing to do with the builders i.e. it was influenced by something enviromenatl and common to all sites or they were blissfully unaware of it .
