I do realise most people prefer to get straight to the meat portion but I was thinking it might be different for a photography gallery website, kind of like having a nice shop window. People will be visiting to look at the photos anyway so I thought a first taster was a better introduction than my clunky homepage.

I'm frustrated with the look and feel of the website as it stands but dont have the time to redesign from the ground up. Its tied to the smugmug gallery provider so I'm very limited with what I can do with the main site itself, you get boxes for text so you cant have snazzy graphics or buttons and whatever you put on top of the main page using css stays put no matter where you go in the site. I dont think its very user friendly, especially as the number of galleries grows.
