Well as its a grey, foggy, cold, miserable solstice day, and Jamie will not be able to see the winter sun at Stoney Littleton, its nice to read you message of cheer on this day, what you are experiencing is "serendipidity" and if you like words......

"Walpole formed the word on an old name for Sri Lanka, Serendip. He explained that this name was part of the title of "a silly fairy tale, called The Three Princes of Serendip: as their highnesses traveled, they were always making discoveries, by accidents and sagacity, of things which they were not in quest of...." found on the internet....

which obviously is a great source of serendipitious information ;)

See? Enriched!! Thank you Moss, I know Jane loves investigating roots of words too, so I hope she reads this.

Never a truer word typed! Couldn't even see the barrow across the valley as you approach from Wellow.

I did however see the sun on the back wall of the barrow last Sat morning, so I'm not as gutted as I could be. And there is always next year :)
