It suffered a little bit from a lack of surprise - no Earth-shattering discoveries, just a lot of educated guesswork and supposition - all worthy in my mind, but not gripping television. Last week's 21st Century meal was a little disappointing, as it took over half the program.

Still, it's a serious minority subject that actually made it onto the box, so we should thank Ray and the team for making it.
