me too, i just got into mushrooming this year and its bloody brilliant fun, lends a whole new dimention to going for a walk, it's like hunting for treasure and very yummy, so far, i havnt been sick yet. I'd like to go on one of those afternoons with an expert, anyone here done that?

Me too, but the experts seem to be few and far between.

The Nature Reserve Centre at Hanningfield Reservoir in Essex do an evening mushroom hunt just once each autumn that ends in a barbeque of mushrooms collected but I'd really love to go on a week's course somewhere and learn more about different mushrooms and other wild foods. Maybe Ray Mears' prog will generate more interest in the subject; wonder if he runs such a course himself - he should, I imagine it would be really popular.

You need to come out for such a foray with me sometimes. It's up North though, and you'll get all wet and bothered, but you'd be amazed at it all!
