Haven't seen this week's edition yet, but 'Coast' is a programme which causes much distress in our house with voices raised at the TV. It's those STUPID five to ten minute reports that often have little relevance to the coast that they bang on and on about - grrrr! The 'Coast' on Arran, last week I think it was, completely failed to mention anything prehistoric even though it is littered with stuff. Then the 'Coast' about Anglesey banged on and on about something which was related only to the area because the inventor was born there or something. *yawn*

Is it any wonder we turned over to watch 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here...'?!

Anyway, yes, when we were on Scilly we were thrilled and amazed at the quantity of lovely chambered tombs littering the hillsides, peeping out from the gorse: http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/user/1761/weblog/0/25940

They do seem to do a lot about nuclear power stations, mining and the industrialisation of the coast, don't they??? I can't believe they didn't go to the rock hewn graves on the barrows at Heysham, easily one of the most intriguing things on the Lancashire coast line.
