Hi !

You asked me to remind you when the next northern moon event was. The moonrise of both the 8th and 9th, of this month, are extreme events. The times I've calculated, for a site three hundred miles north, are 17.45 Wednesday and 18.53 Thursday. That's when the moon will be seen to rise from behind Silbury Hill from that other place (whose name I've temporarily forgotten). I think, at the moment, the weather forecast is for this high pressure system to stick, so conditions may be nearly ideal. No photographs of this event are known.

Wrap up well (and good luck) !

Well the moon was out three quarter full last night - beautifully bright in the sky......

Thanks for that! Do you mean from The Sanctuary?
You might need to remind me again.

Its a funny thing the Moon. I've noticed its pretty low and skimmy in the South for the past few days.

Please don't pin all your archeo-astronomical hopes on me making it. I expect Pete G will do the job anyway.

From that viewpoint the termination of the Beckhampton Avenue is only slightly to the left of Silbury's shoulder. T'would be a bit of a thing if the Moon popped up from just there...

Hey Stonelifter (or anyone else) fancy a trip into space?

I've just received confirmation I'm going -

"Congratulations, Handsoff Stonehenge! Your name is traveling aboard the Dawn Spacecraft on its mission to the Asteroid Belt!"
