It was another era - everyoneone wore knee high red socks, and denim shorts. The old Vauxhall Astra did us proud, with absolutely no radiator problems.

My recollection was of a few very small stones in longish grass, very much like the picture of the first site in the current Berwin thread and also similar to the fieldnotes in the second. But definitely near to the road.
