I'd just like to say "Hello and Welcome" too all the new folks hereabouts who have added to what has turned out to be the "let's discuss gender and race" thread.

It's nice to see so many people who have lurked coming and posting for the first time. any more out there?

And... I'd like to add that everyone "new" is welcomed equally... speaking for myself and based on my experience it was the same as entering a room at a party - joining into social banter and adding something hopefully worthwhile to the discussions!!
