Just a thought, eds, but at least some agro over offensive words might be lessened if you banned them from people's nicknames. Dunno for sure but you'd probably not allow people to post under the name Ni*gerBoy (without the asterisk) or MotherF*cker (without the asterisk). Whether you ban strongly offensive words from folks actual posts could still be an editorial decision (with maybe a warning to the poster first to cut back on them a bit).
