Sounds like he approached Callanish in the authentic fashion...

He was an excellent writer - it's just those mathmatical concepts were so difficult, at the time. A paradigm shifter (sorry) and sailor. Maybe the Megalithic Yard was just an averaged out pace and the Pythagorean math just harmonious layout but there's still loads left. His measuring of cup and ring art, in the third book, has never been repeated.
