There are a couple in the cotswolds which are quite hefty. Belas Knapp and Notgrove spring to mind, but I'm not sure how they compare.

It's odd how similar in volume they originally were (perhaps). As if there were a template or pattern or ideal size. What's the shape ? A low sausage, oriented NE-SW maybe, and a little higher at the eastern end, where the forecourt and entrance was situated. Similar whether the structure was a cairn, from collected stones, or a barrow, from gathered turfs ...
