I like the stones even better tho*. ;^)

*You didn't exactly see 'em at their best, given that you had to be standing on 'em to see 'em for the overgrown grass coz the field was fallow!

I love the fact that not only does it predate the church (by some millennia!) but also the entire religion!

The stones were fab too - we were quite lucky, as I recall, as the grass was quite low... But my memory does tend to have a rose-tinted glow sometimes!

if you like the fortinghall yew why not go see the Llangernew yew only a couple of centuries younger for more good yews check out the Heritage trees book or website
