I totally agree - their books full of mysterious photos and folklore were probably, no definitely, what pushed me towards my current obsession (face facts girl you are an anorak). When I 'discovered' them I was so chuffed that someone else saw the countryside in the same sort of way.
But the books are just sitting on my shelf unlooked at and it would be nice to send them to a more attentive home I think.

And anyway, the excerpts you found - I know from my own experience that it's not easy digging these things up, especially with different spellings and suchlike, and often they are buried deep in a book about all sorts of other things. So I can appreciate the effort it no doubt took! And (I would say this) I really think they add soemthing different and important to the website. Yep.
