I was just going to say, Fitz, that your excellent historical quotes recently have been a pleasure to read, nice work.

AND I wonder what you were going to say about Mr and Mrs Bord. I'm just about to take some hardback copies of their books to the charity bookshop. But if you want them you're welcome. Or anyone else for that matter, if you'll pay the postage if it's a lot. They're in good nick. But you may be waiting a while as I don't often get to the post office.

I've also got a lovely hardback copy of Michael Dames's 'Silbury book. If you don't mind the fluffy content.

Moss I don't know if you would like any of them?

I'm just fed up with all the books in the house, they're driving me mad.

Hi Rhiannon
thanks for your lovely comment.
I've been offshore for the past couple of weeks and have been ploughing through my notebooks in an attempt to put something together. The 'something' kinda failed but I thought the quotes, may add a little flavour.

As for the Bords.
I believe them to be the unsung heroes of 'alternative British archaeology'. I don't think I've ever seen their names mentioned in this forum.
I personally owe them a huge debt of gratitude for sparking my interest in prehistory, folklore and earth mysteries and wondered how many other folk felt the same way.

I've sent you an e-mail
cheers

Fluffy? Personally I'd describe Dames' writings and ideas as innovative, interesting and thought-provoking but, in my humble opinion, never 'fluffy'. He's also a very nice person to talk to :-) What exactly do you mean by 'fluffy' here?
