Glad you saw the post i made; the site was already on the beckensall archive, I only went there as the forest around amersidelaw was impenetrable - I will go again minus girlfriend and crawl... ;-)

The Area around the rock art is open access and amazingly we were market researched on the open access scheme by two people from the countryside agency who were lurking behind a bush not far from the rock carvings !!! - it just seemed too surreal.

As an aside, when looking at the area of Amersidelaw on flash earth, there appears to be a circular earthwork not noted on the map, which is intriguing me...
