Don't know the standing stones, but that's one of my favorite areas in the whole world. Hidden to the north of Loch Tay is Glen Lyon, 34 miles of pure bliss.

Also recommend the Falls Of Dochart Inn at Killen, great food and lovely people :-)

When were you last there?

Visited a couple of months ago and they had lost their drinks licence, no customers, almost in darkness, all the fonts covered in tea towels ... a surreal 'Slaughteed Lamb' experience ... made our excuses and left (guickly)!!

Ahhh, Glen Lyon, what an amazing place. Stayed here in 2004, in a small cottage, isolated from the rest of the world. The Bridge of Balgie post office does the best soup ever and the Fortingall stones are a joy! Also, came across a walled cemetary in the middle of nowhere, no church nearby, very old and midgey....most atmospheric!

Falls of Dochart Inn? Went last June and wasn't that impressed. Loved Killin though.

A month ago today Big Sweetie took me and Moth on a delightful tour of those magical places. Haven't blogged it yet cos we saw so much I don't know where to start!

The Falls of Dochart blew my mind. I wanted to stay there all day but Sweetie and Moth insisted we move on and see more stuff. Bastards.

I *heart* Scotland...
