Prehistoric Manual

Mike Pitts is presenting an interesting little series on BBC Radio 4 each day this week from 3:45-4:00 entitled Prehistoric Britain. Today's episode was about the best-preserved prehistoric boat in Britain - now at the Dover Museum. Thursday's episode looks at what is thought to be the earliest loaf of bread in Britain, and Friday's episode discusses the best way to kill a woolly mammoth - useful if you have one in your street and are looking for a filling for your earliest loaf of bread :-)

Cheers for that, LS - looks/sounds interesting!

I thought it sounded familiar though - this must be a new series - the previous series can be "listened again" to (gad, my grammar teacher would have had a field day!) here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/history/prehistoric_manual.shtml
