Join Dr Euan MacKie, archaeologist and astronomer at Glasgow University¹s Hunterian Museum, as he unearths the history of stone-age astronomy in Scotland. MacKie¹s controversial talk will take place under the stars of Glasgow Science Centre¹s ScottishPower planetarium. Stone Age Sky Watchers will address whether there was any sophisticated astronomy happening in Scotland over five thousand years ago. Using the powerful planetarium technology, MacKie will transport you back to 3000BC to view the sky as our ancestors saw it, and to look for alignments of standing stones with the Sun, Moon and stars of antiquity.

rehashing the work of Hawkins and Thom with the aim of the latest astronomy software.
I bet he discovers lots...

As I live up here, does that make me an Alba nian?....... ;-)

Anyway, should be an interesting show as long as the planetarium doesn't pack in. There are plenty of tickets left so no need to get crushed in the stampede!
