Thanks for these pictures. I was not at Callanish I, I wanted to be alone and thus went to Calanais III:

So I missed the event at Calanais I (thus even no picture made). But thanks for sharing these, I am in someway jealous with you!

While being at Calanais III, I could hear the bagpipes (they are even on my videos of the event made at CalanaisIII...). I heard them twice, one at sunset and the second time, can you tell me what the event was why they were played? Was it the last moon betwene the stones to be seen from the end of the avenue or was it the real setting of the moon (so in the Clisham Valley, visible when you go some 50 meters to the west of the avenue, or stand on the round outcrop).

Hope you can recollect the bag pipes;-) I am trying to sequence things;-)
