Ahem, better late than never I suppose...
You've probably already seen Victor's account of the events of 29th Sept 2006ce as viewed from Callnish III. I was among the rabble at Callanish I, huddled as close as possible to stone 8 (and the Curtises). Rather than rambling on about what we saw, I've posted a few pics - as with the pics from the July skim, apologies for the shonky photography, but I hope they're clear enough for people to make out what happened.
And no, I don't believe the Western row mysteriously acquired another stone or two during the skim as would appear from the pics - I think it's just people moving around and getting in the way.
Or is it...
