With one particular site, by far the most harm caused to the site in living memory was the same people now charging building a house 10 metres away from the monument, how they got planning is beyond me as the area is definitely a place of outstanding natural beauty. From reading another website it seems that this circle, due to its battered state, was off the tourist trail until the people charging had signs put up to it from the main road so if its being misused now its hard not to blame them. I certainly didn't see any sign of anti-social behaviour or damage and it would be hard to get within sight of the circle without being spotted and asked to cough up the cash.

I dont think it needs any maintenance because the field has lots of sheep in it (be-horned rams too).

It doesnt even have the usual OPW protection notices beside it so I doubt its a national monument, I think its just a circus freak for the people living next door to make a quick buck off.
