Hi Rhiannon, sort of started on a project, whilst working out all the hillforts round Glos,Wilts and Somerset (about 50 in each) thought I would do our 8 local ones, the 4 beautifully spaced round Bath with their bronze age settlements close by, and the three in Glos that follow the line of the South Cotswold scarp, and the A46.. Its their landscape that is intriguing, the need for defense and the ability to keep watch over a great distance. Whitesheet Hill is similar to the Glos ones, in that there are other forts nearby (Scratchbury,Battlebury and Bratton)...
She's a very thin goddess by the way! Somerset does not lend itself very well to the recumbent figure too many small hills and long downs...
