Normal service has been resumed as soon as possible - thank goodness. But spent a pleasant half hour looking at all the posts on hillforts, an early post by Rhiannon on a recumbent goddess at Whitesheet Hill was particularly interesting - no one got round to discussing it in 2003 - how time flies...

Help !

It's just great up there, Moss. It feels a lot like Knap Hill in a way - you're up above everything and it's all spread out below you. My boss is often over there doing paragliding but I haven't broached the subject of Neolithic religion as he'll probably think I'm bonkers.
The alleged recumbent figure is here
http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/post/17362 as you probably saw
- it's not that convincing but there's a definite head end (though as I said somewhere, it's hardly the Sleeping Beauty).I think it's about time I had a trip over there, I haven't been back since those field notes. You should definitely go if you can though, it's not far really.
