Hi Rune

" >rune there is absolutely no misreading of his post, as any one of reasonable intelligence would realise,<<<

There you go again, Mick, hurling insults when none were hurled at you. "

No disrespect intended, but isn't the example here below what Littlestone and others also gerrup to quite often?

" >I may be being a tad slow but could you define by which parameters.<

No question mark at all here - strange. But yes, it is possible that you are a tad slow "

Or izzit OK for old-timers to do it, but newcomers not? I for one get incredibly pissed-off with lots of this sorta stuff on the forums - hence the reason I rarely put stuff on them these days. There's all sorts of ego-flexing and intellectual superiorites going on, both subtly and blatantly. Examples scatter the forums for all to see. It just seems Mick's hitting on something which perhaps many of the silent majority would tend to agree with, if only they could be arsed expended the energy (which they can't). Some folk just like to be heard - a lot it seems. There is an old Taoist saying which I've cherished for many a year, saying, "Those who speak do not know. Those who know do not speak." And much of the bickerings, yawns, pedantry, & stuff show such truth in in volumes on many a bickering TMA forum. Bloody sad really...

>"Those who speak do not know. Those who know do not speak."<

There's another Taoist/Buddhist saying my friend, "The ox is slow but the earth is patient."

On this occasion, the Littlest one is being very patient.

I'm inclined to agree with you Paul to a certain degree, these forums do beggar belief at times for a site supposedly about ancient sites. However...
Muddymick has been so downright rude since his brief sojourn here, I think the only word that is appropriate is troll. Impoliteness, posturing and big ego's is one thing, blatant abusiveness is another.

And with that I leave this topic, cos like you I can't be arsed ;)

but isn't it 'those that know do - those that don't teach' ?

Just keep talking (it is a new communication channel after all) ...

thank you paulus, it is nice to see that someone looks at posts critically rather than within their own bias.all I can say is i have been a magnified reflection for certain individuals!some of who subvert posts subtely e.g by commenting/criticizing on irrelevant trivia and ignoring in depth and interesting threads(and i am sure you have noticed) thanks for the post Muddy
