If your planning a trip to Sardinia I'd recommend that you go, especially while there are cheap flights on offer. There are dozens and dozens and dozens of sites to visit. I was there in the middle of summer and with the exception of two sites hardly met another soul. I got the impression from talking to the guides that apart from some of the larger, accessible Nuraghe, prehistoric sites are not that popular with the tourists.
The sooner you go and come back, the sooner you can return. I would use Julians book as an excuse to return to this wonderful island.
