Hi All,

Took a couple of pictures at low tide at Grid Ref ST 531 838 the other day, these can be found here:

Showing very old tree stumps and a peir like array, these get exposed when the gravel banks shift.

Please note the tides are very dangerous here and I suggest not visiting unless you have a good knowledge of the terrain and are familiar with the incoming tidal patterns.

Very interesting and similar to those often found at Formby between Liverpool and Southport. They are mesolithic as well and I believe that others found elsewhere are too. Wonder why none are later
