ses paisses is a must...there used to be an english language site, but the link is now broken, & this was the best i could find
http://www.mallorcaweb.net/sespaisses/

also spend anafternoon at son real, 1/2 hour walk south of c'an picafort...just follow the beach out of town...wonderfully atmospheric

cala san vicente was a bit of a disappointement to us, but easily accessible by road

there seem to be quite a few talaotic remains scattered about which are not very well publicised, but some local road maps have 'historical interest' symbols on them

where are you staying?

europacar, via carjet, seem to be the cheapest car rental outfit, we've always had virtually new fords from them

we're back there in May/June, eighth year on the trot (ooo er, getting a bit set in our ways now.....)

Hi konaman
We're spending a few days in Palma then got a ridiculously cheap deal (all inclusive, ha! Anyone who's met us knows the potential foolishness of that!) in Cala Millor - and have a car lined up.
I'm interested in locating the less publicised places too, of which there are loads on my road map and detailed (bugger can't find the link it's on my home PC not my work one and it's in Spanish anyway - will add it this evening!) but more info and better directions etc would help.
I got a bit obsessed last year on Menorca - see weblogs - and can see the same kind of thing happening. And any new interesting stuff will get blogged eventually!
