As a young man I found myself in the dock of Bow Street Magistrates' Court for campaigning against the testing and stockpiling of atomic bombs and a year later arrested again for protesting against the development of chemical warfare agents at Porton Down. You get fined, you get sent down, but at least later on in life you can say f*ck you (to the authorities) I did what I thought was right and my moral judgements stand long after yours have shrivelled into insignificance.
