I think I know the one you mean. It is a sandstone lid from Maltegarden, Gentofle in Denmark. A male and female advance towards each other with out stretched hands. The circular border looks a bit likea twisted torque. There is a photgoraph on page 32 of HR Ellis Davidson's Scandinavian Mythology.
