Just stumbled on this which may be of interest to museum and gallery lovers.

As of October 2005 South Korea now has a new museum in Seoul that looks pretty impressive.* Also worth a visit if you're in that neck of the woods is the amazing museum of Chinese art in Shanghai. Flying time from Osaka, Japan, is only a couple of hours to either city so Osaka (or Kyoto) is a good base to explore some of the finest museums and art galleries of the Far East (food's fantastic too :-)
