I've read that about other stones that clearly aren't standing stones, but I'm pretty sure this isn't a standing stone

are you in Edinburgh or the Borders Martin? I used to live in Kelso then near Duns but it was before I was really into stones unfortunately

Both really! I live in the Borders and work in Edinburgh. Born n bred Leith, but would never want to stay in the city again- the Borders is a magikal place ;) You up in Perthshire now?? I've been visiting Perthshire for over 20 years now- used to have a van near Aberfeldy (that how I first got into stones), now have one just north of Blairgowrie- another beautiful part of the world!
