>> Oh and why isn't northern ireland in JC's books?

Time and space I would imagine. You could similarly ask why isn't Northern Spain or the depatment of Lot (France) or Austria or the Paris basin or Caucasia or lots of other places in the book?

As Peter says there's stuff all over Europe. For various reason a lot of the European stuff has been ignored. One terrible factor has been the reluctance of archaeos to look beyond their own shores for comparisons. I think we owe quite a bit to The Megalithic European to opening up the borders. The Portal is now uniting a growing number of them online - I might even look at it before my trip to Germany next month ;-)

"For various reason a lot of the European stuff has been ignored."

what are those reasons? - do you mean in the books - or by the relevant archaeolgists?

Re: my trip to Germany

Just booked the flights :-) Four days dragging a friend around stones she has no interest in seeing. Sound familiar :-)

I'm looking forward to this one. I'm staying very close to this brute: http://www.megalithic.co.uk/modules.php?op=modload&name=a312&file=index&do=showpic&pid=11566

and will be visiting this: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Steinkammergrad_von_Züschen_1.JPG

amongst other stuff!

Time to get excited !!!!!!!!!
